In 2003 in Texas, a death row inmate named Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) at the Longview Correctional Facility, who is sentenced for an incident which resulted in the deaths of two police officers and his brother, meets with Dr. Serena Kogan (Helena Bonham Carter), a representative of Cyberdyne Systems, to donate his organs and tissue for what he believes will be a good cause. He wakes up 15 years after his execution, in 2018, inside a Skynet base that was just raided by resistance members. At the same time, John Connor (Christian Bale) has just left the same Skynet base, the sole survivor of an assault on it. He has discovered plans to develop the T-800, something he had predicted would happen because of his foreknowledge.

John returns to the Resistance headquarters (a nuclear submarine) and tells Resistance leader General Ashdown (Michael Ironside) of his discovery. The Resistance in turn has discovered a frequency that could possibly be used to force Skynet machines to shut down. An offensive against the Skynet base in San Francisco is planned to take place in four days time. When John asks why it would be in four days, it is revealed that the Resistance intercepted a transmission from Skynet, listing people that they planned to kill in four days, and second on the list is John Connor, followed by the rest of the command staff of the Resistance. When John asks who is first on the list, he is told it is Kyle Reese, who John knows is his father. John offers to be the one to test the frequency on the machines before the offensive, and is given approval. After leaving the submarine and returning to his base, John speaks with his second in command, Barnes (Common), and breaks the news to him that his brother was killed in the attack on the Skynet base. He also meets with his wife, Kate (Bryce Dallas Howard), before listening to tapes from his mother Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton) and sending broadcasts to Resistance members and surviving civilians across the world.

The movie opens with Howard Tully (Tom Wilkinson), the CEO of Burkett & Randle, and Dick Garsik (Paul Giamatti), the CEO of Equikrom, illustrating the rivalry between the two consumer product corporations when they get into a brawl upon encountering each other on the tarmac.

The scene cuts to five years ago at the Fourth of July celebration at the American consulate in Dubai, where Ray Koval (Clive Owen), an MI6 agent, seduces Claire Stenwick (Julia Roberts), unknowingly to him a CIA agent. Claire manages to drug Ray and steal classified documents from him.

In the present day, Ray is a corporate spy in New York City who goes to work for Equikrom; at a meet, he spots Claire, thinking the mission is blown. When Ray follows her and confronts her finally for the incident in Dubai, Claire persistently puts up an innocent act, pretending she has never met Ray, until they both realize they were supposed to meet. Claire has been undercover as a counter-intelligence officer at Burkett & Randle for the past 14 months, and Ray is to become her new handler.

At Burkett & Randle, a major development is underfoot, and Tully makes a speech that paints them as innovators defending themselves from duplicity and theft. At Equikrom, who manages to get a copy of the speech through Claire, Dick Garsik scoffs at the company that purchased a dump to go through their garbage, and plots to steal whatever Burkett & Randle have developed.

The scene cuts to two years ago in Rome, where we see Ray and Claire actually meeting for the first time since Dubai as well as Claire's exact same innocent act as before. It is revealed Ray and Claire did not meet at Equikrom by chance; they plan to wait for the perfect opportunity to cheat both companies and sell a corporate secret to the highest bidder for themselves. It's clear, however, neither still completely trusts the other, and suspicion abounds as to who is playing who.

The team at Equikrom believes Ronny Partiz (Christopher Denham), a child prodigy turned genius, might be responsible for Burkett & Randle's new product. Ray and Boris Fetyov (Oleg Stefan) stake out Partiz at a casino in the Bahamas, when Claire and Dale Raimes (Rick Worthy) from Burkett & Randle foil their plans by planting evidence of them cheating the casino.

In return, Howard Tully at Burkett & Randle thanks Claire for successfully defending the company's new product, revealing it to the cure for male pattern baldness. When Dale Raimes is later caught attempting to steal the formula and she is left guarding him and the formula alone, Claire manages to successfully use one of the rigged photocopiers at Burkett & Randle to transfer it to Equikrom.

Back at Equikrom, Claire accuses Ray of stealing the formula for himself and is exposed when it is found. Ray, believing Claire betrayed him, later finds Claire at the airport. Claire confesses she loves him and that's why she's still at the airport; Ray returns the feelings and reveals he had another copy of the formula.

Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) now works at Daley Devices, a company that manufactures his inventions. He finds that the American Museum of Natural History is closed for upgrades and renovations, and the museum pieces are moving to the Federal Archives at the Smithsonian Institution in Washington DC. On the last night, Larry meets the museum pieces such as Teddy Roosevelt (Robin Williams), Rexy the Tyrannosaurus Skeleton, and Dexter the Monkey and finds out that several exhibits, including Teddy, Rexy, the Easter Island Head, and Ahkmenrah (Rami Malek) are not moving to The Smithsonian Institution - the other exhibits will no longer be animated. The next night, Larry gets a call from Jedediah (Owen Wilson), saying that Dexter stole the tablet, and that Kahmunrah (Hank Azaria), Ahkmenrah's older brother, is attacking them. Larry takes a plane to Washington and visits the National Air and Space Museum, the National Gallery of Art and the Smithsonian Castle to find the Federal Archives with the help of his son Nick (Jake Cherry).

Larry sneaks into the archives and locates the exhibits, frozen in the middle of a battle with Kahmunrah and his troops, who are trying to lock the exhibits in a crate. Larry got hold of the Tablet of Arkmenrah, just when the sun sets and all the exhibits come alive again. Kahmunrah and his troops lock the crate and take the Tablet from Larry, and he tells Larry that bringing the exhibits to life is just only one of the tablet's powers - he intends to use it to raise an army from the underworld and conquer the world. Larry escapes with the help of General George Armstrong Custer (Bill Hader), who gets captured, and meets Amelia Earhart (Amy Adams), who is thrilled at the prospect of adventure and accompanies Larry. Meanwhile, Kahmunrah is able to recruit Al Capone (Jon Bernthal), Ivan The Terrible (Christopher Guest) and Napoleon Bonaparte (Alain Chabat) to help him capture Larry in return for sharing the world with him when he conquers it. Custer is locked up with the other exhibits from the American Museum of Natural History, and while he conceives a poor plan of attack, Jedidiah and Octavius (Steve Coogan) sneak out to help Larry.

The film opens in 1933 as John Dillinger (Johnny Depp) is brought to a penitentiary by his partner John "Red" Hamilton, under the disguise of a prisoner drop. They are actually there to break out the rest of their gang. Dillinger and Hamilton overpower several guards and free their partners. After a gangmember gets violent, a gun is used to kill a guard alerting the rest of the prison. A shootout ensues as the gang makes a run for the getaway car. This results in Dillinger's mentor Walter Dietrich being killed. After beating and disposing of the gangmember who caused the shootout, Dillinger and the gang take refuge in a country house before leaving for Chicago to rob banks.

Elsewhere, Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) and several other FBI agents are running down Pretty Boy Floyd. Purvis kills Floyd, and as a result, Purvis is upgraded by (J. Edgar Hoover), who is protecting the FBI from scrutiny by politicians, to lead the hunt for John Dillinger.

While Dillinger and his gang reap the benefits of their robberies, Alvin Karpis offers Dillinger a role in a kidnapping plot. He declines however, stating that the public doesn't like kidnappings. At the party he meets Billie Frechette, whom he takes to dinner. At the restaurant they are in, they both are looked upon by others; John with fear because they know who he is, Billie with disdain because of her Native American heritage. Billie leaves him at the restaurant however when John begins talking to associates of Frank Nitti, Al Capone's right hand man and confidant. He finds her later, and states plainly that she's his girl now and that he will do anything for her: he also stands up for her by beating a drunk verbally abusing her. With this act, and impressed by his respect and straight-forwardness with her, Billie leaves with him.

Melvin Purvis gets a lead on where Dillinger is staying and sets up an ambush at the motel he believes he is in. While checking out "Dillinger's" room, Purvis finds what looks to be an ordinary husband and wife. Though their identification checks out, Purvis seems to recognize the husband and has an agent watch the door after he leaves. But when the agent sees someone approach the door he is ambushed and killed by the "husband". After the man escapes, due to the rest of the agents' incompetence, Purvis realizes the killer wasn't Dillinger but Baby Face Nelson. After this incident, Purvis demands that Hoover bring in professional lawmen who know how to catch criminals dead or alive. Though Hoover had hoped for more pristine agents, he agrees.

While he and Billie are enjoying the luxuries across the States, the police finally find Dillinger and arrest him and his gang in Tuscon. In prison, Melvin Purvis comes to meet Dillinger. Dillinger goes on to tell Purvis how killing is different up close and personal as opposed to the way he killed Pretty Boy Floyd. Purvis tells Dillinger that he will more than likely be executed, and won't be a problem much longer. He is soon taken back to Indiana where he is imprisoned awaiting trial. The prosecutor wants to house Dillinger in the state prison; Dillinger's lawyer convinces the Judge to keep him in the county jail. Before trial, Dillinger and a few inmates escape using a fake gun. Dillinger is unable to see Billie as she is under tight surveillance by Purvis' men. Soon he finds that Frank Nitti's Chicago Outfit associates are now unwilling to help him; Dillinger's crimes are motivating the US government to begin prosecuting interstate crime, which imperils Nitti's (and others') lucrative business as bookmaking.

It's the summer of 1987, and James Brennan (Jesse Eisenberg), a comparative literature major has just graduated from Oberlin College. At an end of the year party, James' girlfriend of less than two weeks breaks up with him. His friends blame it on the fact that he disclosed his virginity to her and she was unimpressed. James is set to embark on his dream tour of Europe when his parents (Wendie Malick and Jack Gilpin) announce that they won't be able to subsidize his trip, as his father has been transferred to a new job with less pay. James is unhappy because the trip was promised as his graduation present. Then his parents explain that because of the job change they are unable to pay for his graduate education at Columbia University.

James moves in with his parents and begins to explore possible job options. He is rejected from most based on his lack of experience and literary degree. James then interviews for a job as a games host at Adventureland, a local amusement park in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

James is hired on the spot by the manager, Bobby (Bill Hader). That day he meets some of his co-workers, the dry and sarcastic Joel (Martin Starr), Frigo (Matt Bush), his former childhood arch-nemesis who constantly punches James in the testicles, Sue O'Malley (Paige Howard), Mark (Mark Miller) and Lisa P. (Margarita Levieva), along with the park's married but flirtatious repairs technician Mike Conell (Ryan Reynolds), a part time musician who claims to have once played a gig with Lou Reed. James is unhappy with his work because of the long hours and very low pay.

While the job seems disastrous, things pick up when James meets fellow games worker Emily "Em" Lewin (Kristen Stewart), after she saves him from getting knifed by a disgruntled customer. The same day she saves him, she invites him to a party at her house. During the party, Em tells James about her vile stepmother, Francie (Mary Birdsong), who several times attempts to manipulate her future so that Emily takes the career Francie wants. The two go for a swim in Em's pool, where it's clear that James is starting to develop feelings towards Em. After the party ends, it's revealed that Em has been having an affair with Conell, who had been cheating on his wife with different girls.

The next day, James asks Em to out with him for a drink, and Em accepts. While the two are at a bar, James accidentally reveals his virginity to Em, something which she finds "kinda pathetic, yet cute". When Conell arrives at the bar, Em asks to leave, which they do. After they leave the bar, Em and James go to sit by a local river, where they kiss.

Three years after being kicked out of the science department for his theory of time warps and his attack on Matt Lauer on The Today Show, paleontologist Rick Marshall is reduced to working as a teacher for children at the George C. Page Museum until he meets Holly Cantrell who urges him to finish his tachyon amplifier. When he does, they go to the Devils Cave, a roadside attraction, hiring its tour guide Will Stanton. Marshall activates the tachyon amplifier triggering an earthquake, and the three end up in a parallel universe having lost the amplifier.

They meet some ape men, Pakuni, performing a sacrifice but scare off two of them and help the other one, named Cha-Ka, until he runs off with them in pursuit. Once catching up to Cha-Ka, they are trapped by a tree and attacked by a Tyrannosaurus which chases them until they come to a small land bridge. Marshall is convinced they are safe as he explains how a T-Rex has a walnut-sized brain, and is incapable of judging depth and distance. Furious while hearing this as he stalks away, the T-Rex musters enough full speed to jump across the chasm. Chasing them until they reach a crevice in a cave, it gives up, though still wanting to eat Marshall. Holly, knowing the dinosaur's attitude, gives him the name "Grumpy". Grumpy's vendetta becomes more apparent when he leaves a gift, a beach-ball sized walnut.

The next day, Cha-Ka brings fruit full of spiders. Marshall has visions about a strange creature begging for his help and runs to find the Lost City. The others follow and they find the Pylon and are attacked by Sleestaks. When the Pylon opens, Marshall and company enter, meeting the creature who contacted them, Enik. Enik tells them that the evil Zarn is out to control the universe and needs the tachyon amplifier.

Cha-Ka takes the group through the jungle and onto a salt flat landscape, filled with numerous jumbled objects and landmarks. An ice cream man arrives through a time warp, but the others soon discover that the area is a feeding site for Compsognathus and Velociraptors, who attack the ice cream man, and begin eating him until Grumpy comes and scares them off. A female Allosaurus arrives as well. The two territorial predators prepare to fight when the both of them catch Marshall scent and chase after him. Marshall runs from "Big Alice", the Allosaurus, and uses a tank of liquid nitrogen to freeze the Allosaur, finding the tachyon amplifier among her remains. Before they retrieve it a Pteranodon steals their time machine.

Marshall regains his confidence as he attempts to apologize to his friends in song (the theme song to the original TV series). They retrieve the tachyon amplifier from a nest of pteranadons and take leave at a motel in the salt flat. While Marshall, Will and Cha-Ka laze in the pool, Holly repairs the amplifier and leaves. She finds dinosaur eggs lodged in dinosaur feces and takes one before triggering a holographic message from the Zarn, learning that Enik is the real villain.

Public Defender Eddie Serrano (George Lopez) is a widower with a 13 year-old daughter Naomi (Daniela Bobadilla). A classic workaholic, Eddie has been M.I.A. for most of Naomi's big moments. When Naomi falls off the bleachers at school, he vows to be there more for his daughter. But little did he know that that would mean that when the original team mom goes into labor Eddie will have to become the "Team Mom" for the Killer Bees, Naomi's team in the Spring Action Classic at Camp Hulka's Rock, he grabs it. He immediately does not fit in when he arrives at the camp. At the end of the camping trip, siblings' Nat and Alex Wolff of The Naked Brothers Band perform a concert with their song "If You Could Make it Through The Rain".

Doug (Justin Bartha) is about to be married, so his friends — Phil (Bradley Cooper), a schoolteacher bored of the married life, Stu (Ed Helms), a dentist with a strict and controlling girlfriend of three years, and Doug's soon to be brother-in-law Alan (Zach Galifianakis), a socially-inept, mentally unstable savant — take him to Las Vegas for a bachelor party. Stu's confrontational girlfriend (Rachael Harris) constantly checks in and calls him, thereby forcing him to lie to her about their true destination. It's later revealed that she cheated on him with a bartender while on a cruise, which Stu is constantly willing to overlook to Phil's chagrin.

The four friends get a plush suite at Caesars Palace, then sneak onto the roof of the hotel and toast to the night ahead. Skipping forward to the next morning, Phil, Stu, and Alan awake in the villa with no memory of the previous night. They realize Doug is missing, Stu has lost a tooth, there's a tiger in the bathroom, a baby in the closet, and the villa's a wreck, filled with the aftermath of all the activities they engaged in the night before. Initially they believe Doug to have gone out for breakfast, but soon worry when they discover his cellphone left behind. They collect what clues they can from what little they remember to figure out what might have happened to Doug, with Alan discovering Stu's tooth in his pocket, Stu finding an ATM receipt for $800, and Alan also finding a VIP parking pass. Outside the hotel, Stu inquires as to why there is a mattress impaled on a statue, and a taxi driver tells him "Some guys just can't handle Vegas"; upon which the valet brings the three groomsmen a police car, which they had dropped off the night before.

In 1959, at William Dawes Elementary School in Lexington, Massachusetts, a time capsule containing the students' drawings of their ideas of the future is buried and set to be ceremoniously opened 50 years later. A girl named Lucinda Embry contributes a page full of seemingly random digits. That night, Lucinda is found in a school closet, where her fingers are bloodied and she complains about hearing voices.

In 2009, the time capsule is opened and the drawings are given to the current students. A boy named Caleb receives Lucinda's envelope. His father John Koestler, a widower and professor of astrophysics at MIT takes interest in the paper, and he soon realizes that part of these digits form dates and death tolls of every major disaster over the past fifty years, and suggests three disasters yet to come. Meanwhile, Caleb begins receiving visits from mysterious figures in overcoats (listed in the credits as "The Strangers"), and during his encounters he hears their overlapping telepathic whispers.

John witnesses a commercial plane crash on the date the paper next predicted a disaster would occur, and he discovers that the unexplained digits on the paper are in fact the geographic coordinates of the events. Speaking with Lucinda's former teacher, John learns of Lucinda's closet episode, and also that she had since died after an overdose. He then meets Lucinda's daughter, Diana Wayland, but is rebuffed once he mentions Lucinda's paper. However, after John uses the numbers to correctly predict another disaster—a Manhattan subway train derailment which John tries and fails to prevent—Diana seeks out John, and together they go to investigate Lucinda's old remote mobile home. Having noticed that the last date on the paper is not accompanied by coordinates, further clues in Lucinda's home lead John and Diana to realize that the '33' listed as the death toll for the final disaster is actually 'EE' reversed, which Lucinda meant to represent 'Everyone Else'. In the woods outside the home, John confronts one of The Strangers, who disappears in a flash of light. It is revealed that Diana's daughter Abby can hear The Strangers' eerie whispers as well.

Two passengers (Sobieski and Zahn) and the conductor (Glover), discover that a person has passed away on their Night Train cabin. They come across valuable jewels on his person, that they wish to keep for themselves. So, to make it look like the man never boarded the train, they conspire to dump the corpse in a river that the train passes. Their scheme to get rid of the corpse escalates to the point where they have to chop up his body just to fit him into a small trunk. They then became paranoid, as they might turn on each other.

Movie plays with the souls of the victims in the train. Where as who ever sees the box , will be corrupted by their own soul and won't be alive for the next sunrise.The box will show them their most wanted precious things like Diamonds,Emeralds,Rubies and etc... Based on their own desire.

Four heavily armed men, led by a man who calls himself "Ryder," (John Travolta) board a New York City subway 6 train (aka the Pelham Line, hence the title), then proceed to take control of the train. Meanwhile, MTA dispatcher, Walter Garber (Denzel Washington), is assigned to the Rail Control Center due to an ongoing investigation that he took a bribe to recommend a Japanese car manufacturer for the next subway car contract. The group then uncouple the front car from the rest of the train and hold the passengers of that car hostage. One of the hijackers, Bashkim, kills an undercover police officer in the course of the action. Ryder and a former MTA train operator named Ramos settle down on the front car, while the other hijackers watch the hostages in the back. They demand $10 million dollars in ransom money to be paid within the next 60 minutes. For each minute past the deadline, one passenger aboard his car will be killed. Garber and Ryder exchange conversations though the microphone, while his men set up an wi-fi booster apparatus to enable Ryder to access his laptop in that tunnel to watch the stock market plunge nearly 1,000 during the course of the next hour. Unknown to him, one of the male passengers has an active laptop with a webcam, that was casually knocked to the floor facing the car's interior previously when they took their hostages which simultaneously reconnects using that same wi-fi link; reestablishing the feed to his girlfriend's desktop with whom he was videochatting with; when she returns to her PC, she sees the hostage situation through her webcam and provides the live feed to the police stationed at RCC. Garber agrees to have the city pay Ryder the $10 million ransom while the Mayor (James Gandolfini) is intercepted by his staff aboard a train in the Bronx and is transported back to RCC.

In Pasadena, California in 1969, a young Mexican couple rushes to the home of medium Shaun San Dena (Flor de Maria Chahua). Their son had stolen jewelry from a group of gypsies three days prior, and since then, has been complaining of seeing and hearing things not of this earth. San Dena tries to help the boy in a seance, but she and the boy's parents can only watch in horror as the boy is thrown from the balcony by an unseen force before being pulled into Hell by demonic hands.

Forty years later, Christine Brown (Alison Lohman), a loan officer in Los Angeles, hopes to be promoted to assistant manager over her conniving co-worker, Stu Rubin (Reggie Lee). Christine's boss, Mr. Jacks (David Paymer), advises her that she needs to demonstrate that she can make tough decisions when she needs to. That same day, Mrs. Sylvia Ganush (Lorna Raver), an elderly gypsy woman, asks for a third extension on her mortgage because she is struggling with economic problems due to an illness. To prove herself to Mr. Jacks, Christine, against her better judgment, denies Mrs. Ganush the extension. In desperation, Mrs. Ganush prostrates herself before Christine, begging and kissing the hem of her skirt. Christine panics and shoves the woman away, shaming her in public. As security guards escort Ganush out, Mr. Jacks compliments Christine on how she handled the situation and implies that if she can close another big loan, the assistant manager position will be hers.

That night Christine is attacked in her car by Ganush. After a violent struggle, Ganush removes a button from Christine's jacket and uses it to place a curse on her. Mrs. Ganush disappears, leaving the cursed button with Christine. Later, Christine's boyfriend, college professor Clay Dalton (Justin Long), takes her to a coffee shop to comfort her. On the way home, they pass a fortune teller's store, and Christine insists they go in. There, they meet the fortune teller Rham Jas (Dileep Rao), who tells Christine that she has a dark spirit upon her.

Alone at home, Christine is attacked by the dark spirit, which appears as the silhouette of a goat's head. The spirit breaks some windows, cuts the power, and throws Christine across the room, causing minor injuries. Clay assumes that Mrs. Ganush followed them and attacked Christine again. However, when she insists that no one attacked her, they contact a psychologist. The psychologist says that victims of assault often relive past trauma, which seems to settle Christine. That night, Christine dreams that Ganush attacks her in bed, and at work the next day, she has a violent nosebleed. Fleeing work, she tries to track down Ganush at the home of her granddaughter, Ilenka. There, Christine learns that Ganush died the previous night, and Ilenka is in the process of holding a wake for her. Christine makes a scene by accidentally knocking over Ganush's body, and Ilenka tells her that she deserves what is coming for her.

In the third installment of the football drama trilogy Goal!, Kuno Becker returns as Mexican footballer Santiago Munez, who along with his best friends and England national team players Charlie Braithwaite (Leo Gregory) and Liam Adams (JJ Feild), are selected for their respective national teams at the 2006 FIFA World Cup Finals in Germany.

However, as the three attend the shooting of a film Braithwaite is featured in, tragedy befalls them. All 3 best friends and Braithwaite's new love interest and soon to be fiancee Sophia Rossi (played by Kasia Smutniak) suffer a car accident which puts Munez out of contention through injuries. Meanwhile, Liam Adams discovers to his horror that he has a new daughter, Bella, from former love interest June (played by Anya Lahiri). This only adds to Liam's preexisting alcoholism and release from Real Madrid. It is revealed that Munez is set to return to England as a Tottenham Hotspur player under a 2 year contract, along with Adams, who resigns with Newcastle United, the original club of both ex-Real players. The film goes on to depict the World Cup from the English perspective. Liam scores the winner against Sweden, assisted by a header from Charlie, and England successfully qualify for the knock-out stages. However, in the match against Ecuador, Braithwaite is injured, and dies on the way to the hospital, the result of a brain aneurysm suffered during the car accident in the beginning of the film. Italy beat France on penalties in the final to take home the crown of champions of the world.

England crash out of the quarterfinals against Portugal, as Adams, visibly shaken by Braithwaite's death, misses a crucial penalty against Portuguese keeper Ricardo while Cristiano Ronaldo converts. Despite the loss, the movie ends on a high note, as Adams weds June, together among friends again.

Also following the tournament around Germany in their St. George’s Cross festooned camper van are the ‘Geordie Boys’, whom we first met back in Goal!. Providing the entertaining fans' perspective of the matches are Newcastle United diehards Gordon (Mike Elliott), Foghorn (Christopher Fairbank), Walter (Jack McBride) and Phil (Craig Heaney) in their drunken, womanizing adventures in Germany.

Unlike in the first two films, Roz, Glen Foy, and Gavin Harris do not feature in the film, and all actual professional footballers are shown through stock World Cup footage. The sporting role of the actors' in this film is limited to the green screen.

On June 13, 1980, a young Jason Voorhees (Caleb Guss) witnesses his mother (Nana Visitor) get beheaded by a camp counselor (Stephanie Rhodes) who was trying to escape Mrs. Voorhees's murderous rampage around Camp Crystal Lake. Approximately 30 years later, a group of vacationing friends—Wade (Jonathan Sadowski), Richie (Ben Feldman), Mike (Nick Mennell), Whitney (Amanda Righetti) and Amanda (America Olivo)—arrive at Crystal Lake on a camping trip, and to find some marijuana that was planted in the woods. As Mike and Whitney explore the abandoned Crystal Lake camp, Jason (Derek Mears) begins to kill the rest of the group one-by-one. Jason also kills Mike, but instead of doing the same to Whitney he decides to kidnap her because she resembles his mother at a young age.

Six weeks later, Trent (Travis Van Winkle), along with his girlfriend Jenna (Danielle Panabaker), and their friends Chewie (Aaron Yoo), Chelsea (Willa Ford), Nolan (Ryan Hansen), Bree (Julianna Guill) and Lawrence (Arlen Escarpeta) arrive at Trent's summer cabin, which sits on Crystal Lake, unaware of the events that occurred a few weeks prior. Also in town is Clay (Jared Padalecki), who has come to Crystal Lake searching for his sister Whitney. Clay eventually makes his way to Trent's cabin, where Jenna agrees to help him look for his sister on the other side of the lake. As Clay and Jenna search for clues to Whitney's disappearance, Jason kills Nolan and Chelsea out on the lake. Clay and Jenna reach the old Crystal Lake campgrounds, where they witness Jason hauling a dead body into one of the abandoned camp houses.

Clay and Jenna run back to warn the others about Jason, who arrives shortly after them and cuts the power to the cabin. After killing Chewie and Lawrence, who ventured outside the house, Jason sneaks inside the cabin and kills Bree. Trent, Clay and Jenna escape the house, but Trent is killed shortly after when he reaches the main road. Jason then chases Clay and Jenna back to the campgrounds, where Clay discovers Jason's lair and finds his sister chained to the wall. Clay frees Whitney, and all three attempt to escape as Jason arrives. The trio find an exit, but Jenna is killed before she can get out. Jason comes after Clay and Whitney, who use Jason's love and memory of his mother to distract him long enough to stab him in the chest with his own machete. Afterward, Clay dumps Jason's lifeless body into the lake, but before he and Whitney can leave Jason bursts through the lake dock and grabs Whitney.

After a high-speed freeway chase (as shown at the end of Perry's previous film Meet the Browns) puts Madea (Tyler Perry) in front of the judge (Mablean Ephriam), her reprieve is short-lived when she goes to the store and destroys a woman's car after she cuts in front of her. Judge Mathis (as himself) gives her a sentence of five years. A gleeful Joe (Perry) couldn't be happier at Madea's misfortune. But Madea's eccentric friend Mr. Brown and their illegitimate daughter Cora (David and Tamela Mann) rally behind her with the help of Joe's lawyer son Brian (Perry) who is tired of Madea and Joe getting into trouble, lending their special "country" brand of support.

Meanwhile, (DeKalb County, Georgia) assistant district attorney Joshua Hardaway (Derek Luke) is on the fast track to career success. But Hardaway lands a case too personal to handle - defending a young prostitute and former drug addict Candace Washington (Keshia Knight Pulliam), whom he is apparently already acquainted with - and asks his fiancée and fellow ADA Linda Davis (Ion Overman) to fill in on his behalf. After the trial, Joshua, who has paid Candace's bail, meets with a church activist friend of his Ellen (Viola Davis), who tries to help a wary Candace, who seems somewhat bitter and angry about her circumstances, but determined to be a survivor. Joshua and Candace talk briefly over lunch, and it is implied that the two had some past dealings with one another as college students.
